Well, it gets bitterly cold during the night at Lost Lake. We spent a lay over day at Lost Lake on day 10 of the trip. We took a short hike to explore what was over the false ridge line. What we discovered was three other lakes that would have only been known to someone that was looking at a map. We also saw a moose.

Above the tree line, weather conditions can get dicey after noon. At this elevation, the Sky can go from clear to stormy within 10 minutes. Because of this, we had to head down by two to avoid being caught in an open field during a lightning storm.
During the rest of the day we played cards and took naps before dinner. During dinner it began to snow so it was an early night back in to the tents.
