On day 8 we found ourselves at the most remote portion of Rocky Mountain National Park (It was the only area available when we reserved our campsite). We spent the night at a ski resort condominium so it was nice to reset and eat some normal food and sleep on a mattress.
The first two pictures are taken of the Rocky Mountains from the road within the park. We also passed by lake Granby (picture 3).
We started on the North Fork Trail from the Dunraven Trailhead in Glen Haven and hiked through National Forest Land and National Park Land for 6 miles to our campsite, Aspen Meadows.
The neat thing about Aspen Meadows is that you have to cross a 15 foot log bridge over the creek to get to it (picture 10). Crossing it with a 40lb backpack putting one foot in front of the other was interesting but we were very fortunate that no one fell into the drink.
